Can we talk about Orange Is the New Black for a minute?
That new Netflix original that was meant to be shit, but turned out the best show I've ever seen.
Yeah, that show... It is the shocking, intriguing, clever, witty, but no too over the top. Its the perfect balance of smart humor and pure unadulterated raunchiness.
In summary, its my brain in a show minus the prison part...
Anyway, like I send I wasn't expecting to like it due to the many fails of Netflix Originals. I think my exact words were, "I bet it sucks", I should have held my tongue before watching.
In the first episode I was immediately attracted to the straight to the plot attitude, the writers weren't pussyfooting around by creating this long elaborate former story, and have not get to prison until the second season.... that shit pisses me off. Like, seriously no one wants to hear you talk about your boring life for an entire season. We want action and we want it now, dammit!
Jesus, my name should be Tangent, BACK TO THE SHOW.
The combination of many intricate characters and how the connect to each other was almost beautiful enough to put in an art gallery. It was just balanced so perfectly. when watching, there is no bias on a character, you feel the same amount of empathy for them all.
The phrase that will become frequent while watching this show is, "that horrendous, but that's what happens when you make bad choices for yourself". I want to feel bad, because they are treated like complete shit, but at the same time...you stabbed a dude, you made drugs in the comfort of your own home, you were a drug mule for your hot-hot girlfriend, etc.
I will admit I do feel bad anyway, it isn't the way you imagine anyone to treat other humans...
This show gives you a whole new perspective on inmates and the kind of trauma they endure.
It doesn't just shine on the bad, it also gives perspective on the little things we take for granted. Not to sound corny, but I love my non-molded bathtub, my blog, Netflix, my bed.
I'm turning it to a total sap, just watch the show.
Well Hello there. We are here to entertain you. Not in the way that makes you uncertain about your safety. We're just here to make you laugh, wonder and, hopefully, think for yourselves.

I thought Turbo was going to be terrible, but...
It wasn't all bad.
Its was quite interesting actually. The morbid jokes between snails caught me for a loop. They we literally making jokes about their short lifespans and how where always the pray on others. Sure, there were extremely corny snippets - the fact that he was a racing snail that entered in the Indy 500 - but if you ignore all that you realize this movie isn't horrendous.
I give it 3 uncomfortable high fives.
But what we need to talk about is how Ryan Reynolds career is going in the toilet....

Vampire Weekend's latest album...Meh...
Before you grab you pitchforks and torches, please let me explain.
We all love Vampire Weekend. They give this crazy bubbly sensation when you listen to them. Even I can't resist a wiggle and a hip shake every time I hear Holiday on TV, but I didn't feel the immediate need to move. Actually, I didn't feel much of anything. As much as Erza's silky smooth voice has a power to put me in a peaceful daze, it wasn't enough for me to feel like this album was any good. I honestly tried guys, I waited until I was SURE that I didn't like this album to share with you all. Although, the album over all was a flop, it did have a few gems such as, Finger Back and Ya Hey. These hidden gems hint that maybe Vampire Weekend will hit us with another spectacular album...Until then... Bring on the pitchforks and torches.
